Yet another of Jack Thompson’s attempts at attacking Rockstar has been taken to court, and quite nicely concluded, this 13th of October.

The latest target of course, is Rockstars Bully. Yet another horrible game, this time teaching kids to attack each other with baseball bats, slingshots, and the usual array of household lethal weapons. Assuming that all children are un-intelligent drones with no intelligence or sense of self control, Bully teaches kids to, well, bully.

Hah.

I won’t turn this into another violence in video games rant that every gaming website in the world has (do you really want to read more of the same?), instead i’ll provide you with this tasty link from Destructoid.com, giving a rough transcript of what went down in court.

All I know is my faith in the justice system is restored. The case went nowhere, the judge ruled in favor of Rockstar and the shipping of Bully, and Jack Thompson goes home to scheme a new plan for next time. One nice quote from the judge was “As I said, there is a lot less violence in this game than what we see on television”.

Score one for the mature gamers.
