Unfortunately they are not making a movie based on the obscure DC Comics villain Solomon Grundy but are in fact making The Brothers Solomon. A comedy starring Will Arnett and Will Forte, as well as pretty much every current SNL cast member except for Andy Samberg (the funniest one).

The film follows two home schooled brothers (Forte, Arnett) who are trying to fulfil their fathers dieing wish of seeing his grandchild. A difficult task when neither of them has kids, is married, is dating anyone, or has an IQ over 50. I did giggle at this trailer but I couldn’t shake the feeling I had seen it all before (Dumb & Dumber), and I doubt much will become of this film as not much ever does of SNL films.

Fun “Fact”: Some fool decided to release this film around the same time as Andy Samberg’s hilarious looking Hot Rod. This is going to be a one-sided SNL grudge match.
