Back to the Bazura

null

Shannon Marinko and Lee Zachariah are back with a whole new season of the Bazura Project starting Thursday June 7th.

Make sure you catch the new season as it’s bound to be as funny and interesting as the last, but with the added fun of Lee and Shannon’s all consuming bitterness over not yet being picked up by the ABC or SBS. Don’t worry guys it’s bound to happen once you change the show to something much less original and entertaining in name of the almighty dollar.

Fun “Fact”: I have briefly met both Lee and Shannon. I’m confident they were impressed with my overall awesomeness and I am awaiting the call to become the third host. Any day now.

Extending the short hiatus I never took

So if you haven’t noticed, there hasn’t been much happening from me on the gaming side of things lately.

I won’t ramble on about my personal life (you have to pay for that), but I guess I’ll officially say “brb”.

Having just recently moved, gotten a new full time job and other life things aside (such as waiting for ADSL at home) I just really don’t have much time to work here.

But I will be back in full force sometime hopefully soon. When I’m back, I may be bringing something special with me so make sure you keep checking the site.

Anyway Liam has been kicking ass at updates and cool stuff. Congrats to all who won the Reno 911 comp, and we have heaps more stuff for you guys coming up.

And yes, Starcraft 2 was announced.

Review: Blades of Glory

It’s not often that I would call a movie gay. Indeed, the political incorrectness of calling a movie gay is something one should consider before making the claim. But I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it straight.

Blades of Glory is a very, very gay movie.

This is not to say Blades of Glory is a bad movie. Indeed, it provided a few of laughs. However, much of the humour found in this movie is the awkward nature of two men in tight, sequined spandex, whilst holding each other in positions only found in the Karma Sutra whilst skating on ice.

I won’t blather on too much as you are probably just scanning through this looking for the link. So without further ado, you can check it out here, and just wait as the defamed Harvey Dent poster morphs after a few seconds OR you can just look below.

War trailer

If the movie The One taught us anything it’s that it’s extremely entertaining to watch Jet Li and Jason Statham beat the living crap out of each other. With that in mind here is the trailer for the new Statham vs Li action flick, War.

Fun “Fact”: I really enjoyed The One.

Bruce Campbell spices things up

B movie star legend, director, writer, Deadite destroyer and overall coolest dude on the planet, Bruce Campbell recently starred in an advertisement for the mail cologne Old Spice. Well he’s back at it again in the new Old Spice ad “Ahoy”, with a great satire of what people believe his life to be like.

Fun “Fact”: The song Bruce is singing in the ad is Hungry like the wolf by Duran Duran. Ruff!

The Dark Knight teaser site

tdk_logo-03.jpg

The teaser site for the greatly anticipated Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight, has gone live. It consists of nothing but the new logo which is a freaking awesome exploding bat symbol and is very reminicent of Batman Beyond (Batman of the Future).

Fun “Fact”: This is now my desktop background.

Seth Rogen is f**king hilarious

Seth Rogen is comedic genius, and I just about busted a nut laughing at the two new R18+ trailers for his upcoming films, Superbad and Knocked Up.

Superbad
Superbad stars Jonah Hill (best known as the screaming fat kid from Accepted) and Michael Cera (Arrested Development), and was written by Seth Rogen with him also playing a supporting role. When done right high school high-jinks never get old (unlike National Lampoon), they remind us of all the hilarious stuff when did when we were young, and give us misguide ideas about how to hook up with hot collage chicks.

Release Date: AUS 20 Sept 2007 | USA 17 Aug 2007

Knocked Up
Knocked Up stars Seth Rogen and uber hottie Katherine Heigl as a couple who get preggers after a one night stand. Just like Superbad, Knocked Up has the realistic sort of jokes you wish you thought of when hanging out with friends, and I think that’s what makes these films that much more funny.

He Was A Quiet Man – Poster & trailer

hwaqm02.jpg

I have always been a fan of Christian Slater so I was pumped to hear his next role was in He was a Quiet Man as a middle aged bald man with a creepy moustache. Add to that, the incredible hotness of Elisha Cuthbert(in a wheelchair, kinky!) and you got one weird but cool sounding movie.

He Was A Quite Man – Trailer 1:

Fun “Fact”: It’s good to see Elisha Cuthbert playing someone other than the films main T&A… wait, no it’s not!
