Lucasarts and Bioware in cahoots!
As if Bioware haven’t been whoring themselves around enough recently. In the wake of their recent Electronic Arts buyout, today it was known that the RPG veterans will be combining efforts with Lucasarts to produce a new game.
This collaboration is set to combine the proven talent in both story and immersion of the two powerhouses, for what will surely be an impressive experience. There’s no details to date on what could emerge from this so we’ll just have to stick by the new site made in light of the joining.
Lucasarts seem to be quite single-minded on the Star Wars track these days, chances of a new world to explore are quite slim. Some are predicting a new Star Wars MMO. Personally I feel the last thing the world needs is not only another MMO, but a Star Wars one. Despite that, considering the force behind whatever this title is, concerns should be slim.
I can’t help but think this could produce a kick ass game… Neverwinter Knights of the old Republic? Cool story!

I’m cyncical and agree with Jordan that we’ll most likely see a Star Wars MMO. Of course, I’m an adventure game fan so I’ve been cynical of Lucasarts ever since they turned their back on the adventure game genre. *rants*

The talk is all around the MMO. I think Star Wars fans would like to see it after the last dismall effort. Now i’m off to play Sam and Max, one of the last decent adventure games left

Bioware can certainly handle MY lightsaber any day, although as far as the rumor is concerned, it’s not impossible that they would be producing a Star Wars MMO, but I’ve seen a lot more raging desire than proof in regards to this so I think my panties will remain dry (albeit acrid), metaphorically speaking, until some screenshots arrive to moisten said panties, and also my eyes; with tears of joy.
Until that day, though, Bioware are producing no such muhmorpgig as far as I’m concerned.

Not only did I play KOTOR 1 and 2 to utter death but I’ve always said that a Star Wars MMO would be the definite WoW killer (let’s all forget about Star Wars Galaxies shall we?). I’m eagerly awaiting more info!
If it’s another Galaxies I’m going to burn EA to the ground!
