While the film rights to Max Payne were sold and actioned some time ago now, our first signs of solid movement are taking place for this film adaptation of one of my personal favourite games ever.

While still in negotiation, Mark Wahlberg (Shooter, The Departed) has been revealed to play the role of the cop with nothing to lose, Max Payne. While I question if Marky Mark has the testosterone level to fill the role it’s a big sign of the direction for this film and it’s blockbuster intentions.

John Moore (Flight Of The Phoenix, Behind Enemy Lines) will be handling the direction side of things.
