Recently Eidos opened doors to the new Eidos Montreal office in Canada, to work solely on Deus Ex 3! While news of the mega-FPS sequel has been around for some time, this official statement means that work is well and truely underway and new revolations for Deus Ex 3 will begin to surface.

The original Deus Ex games were beyond a blockbuster, defining the FPS genre for the time and receiving many game of the year awards.

Whatever happened to ION Storm and their original crew, I’m not sure. Hopefully some big names will be on this one, though we can generally trust Eidos and their move with the series.

The next big question is what platforms Deus Ex 3 will appear on, and when. The original Deus Ex originally launched on PC, to eventually make it to the MAC and PS2 in what was generally considered a more polished experience. The sequel Deus Ex: Invisible War launched simultaneously on PC and XBOX, so chances are quite good of seeing Deus Ex 3 on some consoles.
