EA Can And Shelve Tiberium
Electronic Arts have regretfully informed Kotaku that the upcoming first person shooter set in the Command & Conquer universe, Tiberium, has been canceled with no further intentions for production.

Shaping up as a solid spiritual successor to C&C Renegade, Tiberium was looking quite seductive with intended plans for XBOX 360, PS3 and PC. Renegade was quite good on PC with competent single and multi player modes so I’m disappointed to see this one isn’t going to make the cut.
Apparently Tiberium was cancelled as part of EA’s new “Quality Control” methods. I’m wondering if that’s specific to the Los Angeles studio in which development was taking place right alongside Red Alert 3, or if recent foreign flops such as Facebreaker or Mercenaries 2 are also comparable. That’s saying something bad for Tiberium.
With Christmas season approaching the recent postponement of Tiberium kept this one under the radar so many won’t miss it’s canceled emergence especially with Red Alert 3 upcoming. See what you’re going to miss with the old trailer below.

I fucking LOVED Renegade. I was looking forward to this almost as much as Bionic Commando. Now they can this and they delay Bionic Commando…FUCK YOU GAMES INDUSTRY!
