Atari have announced a release date alongside a new trailer for the new video game set as an official third installment for the Ghostbusters films.
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the original film release North America will bust ghosts come June 16th while Europe and the rest of the world will get their ghost on June 19th.
Co-written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as well as starring voices for most of the original cast (such as Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson) the game should be an interesting new story-driven adventure while also a good nostalgia trip sticking to the original series charm.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game will appear on PC, XBOX 360, Playstation 2 & 3, Nintendo Wii & DS mid 2009 from Atari.
