The Secret Of Monkey Island Coming To XBOX 360?

Gamerbytes have discovered a listing on a German rating board for The Secret of Monkey Island on XBOX 360. A quick screen shot snapped before the listing was taken down shows that Activision Blizzard were listed to publish in what is assumed to be a potential XBOX Live Arcade title.

Until official word gets out this is still a rumor, but one so amazing I can’t help but get my hopes up. The Monkey Island series are some of my favourite games ever, and this news hopefully sheds some light not only on Monkey Island but all of Lucasarts’ other adventure titles that could get a look at a re-release.

Review: Rock + Roll Nerd The Tim Minchin Story

rocknerd_400

It’s hard not to like Tim Minchin, the awarding winning actor and comedian is a highly talented and personable individual who has been performing comedy and producing DVDs (in his current style) since 2005. This DVD however is NOT a taping of a performance with some behind the scenes stuff thrown in; it is a documentary detailing Tim’s life from 2004 to 2006 and contains only a handful of his songs and clips of stand up. Modern Warfare 2 Full Trailer Revealed

Activision have released what can finally be called a real ‘Gameplay Trailer’ for Modern Warfare 2. Well, there still isn’t really in-game footage but the live rendered cuts below have managed to build even more anticipation for the hottest upcoming FPS in 2009.

The trailer seems to focus on the story telling and dramatic moments that captivated so many in Call Of Duty 4 and how this sequel will continue on the storyline with many more tight action scenes and huge set pieces. The environments seem to vary more this time around with swimming and snowmobile scenes mixing things up, Modern Warfare 2 looks like it could well live up to the hype established from the success of its predecessor.

Who We Gonna Call? Sony!

It seems Sony have taken over publishing rights in PAL territories for the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

Now it doesn’t take much to discern what this means for gamers without a Playstation product in Europe and Australia. Sony aren’t hot on distributing games for competing consoles, so anyone looking for a PAL release of Ghostbusters on XBOX 360, DS or Wii will have to wait until “later this year” from Atari.

Farewell 3D Realms *Updated*

*UPDATE* – 3D Realms have updated their site stating that while their development team is no more, 3D Realms will still exist as a company distributing software online. Physical production on games has ceased as of the update, but most titles can be found online as 3D Realms continue to publish games. From the post it sounds like they meant to trick us all along…

3D Realms (or Apogee Software) officially closed their doors last week to end a 22 year life span of developing and publishing some of gamings biggest names, including the infamous Duke Nukem.

Publishing titles such as Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, Max Payne and their latest, Prey, 3D Realms had quite a good run of bringing titles to the masses and even making their own Duke Nukem, who quite possibly drove the company to an end with a 12 year unending development period leaving many questioning what possible state Duke Nukem Forever has been left in.
